In 2009 Erdstein completed a Master of Film and Television (Narrative) at the Victorian College of the Arts (V.C.A) School of Film and Television. He also holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree from the V.C.A./University of Melbourne (2000). During his three years at the V.C.A. He also served as the film school's graduate-student representative on the board of the Faculty of the V.C.A. and Music. In his spare time Erdstein plays bass and creates artwork for Melbourne soft-rock band Telecom. Their song Second Feature was Song of the Day on influential Seattle radio station KEXP on December 7 2006. He is also a published author with his short story Blue Satin Jacket featuring in the anthology BLOOD which was the 8th highest selling book at the 2007 Melbourne Writer's Festival official bookstore. Currently Erdstein works as a freelance filmmaker and illustrator, as well as teaching filmmaking part-time to students at the V.C.A. F.T.V. short course program. He is also writing and developing a surreal television series FEAR PARADE with Melbourne actor Shane Nagle. In 2011 Erdstein directed his latest short film, tentatively titled PICKING UP AT AUSCHWITZ. Please direct all complaints and Nigerian banking scams to gerdsteinATmoccasin.com.au. All my love, |
