WHY RYAN IS ON DETENTION (2013)

No one hit him hard out there…

Listen no one hit him hard out there. And I did my best to bring him around. So wipe your eyes and let’s go. Based on the poetry of John Foulcher, Why Ryan is on Detention examines a man grieving for his youth in a school where the teachers sometime deserve detention more than the students.

The film premiered at the 30th St. Kilda Film Festival 2013 where it was named one of Twitch Film’s 13 Essential Shorts of the Festival. It went onto play at the 2013 Brisbane International Film Festival and the 2014 Flickerfest International Film Festival in Sydney.
