MOCCASIN is Gregory Erdstein and Alice Foulcher, award-winning screenwriters based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia.

Their microbudget debut feature film THAT’S NOT ME (2017), which they co-wrote, Erdstein directed and Foulcher starred, was made for just $60K and received widespread critical acclaim. Shot in Australia and the US, THAT’S NOT ME holds a Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 90% and received ★★★★ from both The Guardian and Time Out. It finished Top 10 in both the 2017 Sydney and Melbourne International Film Festival Audience Awards, won Best Film Under $500,000 at the 2018 Australian Independent Film Awards and earned Foulcher a Best Actress nomination from the Australian Film Critics Association. In 2020 THAT’S NOT ME was named one of the top Australian indie films of the decade by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA).

Their sophomore feature film as screenwriters, ONE MORE SHOT, had its World Premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival and its Australian Premiere at the 2025 Melbourne International Film Festival. It was released in October 2025 on Australian streaming service Stan. Their screenplay was nominated for Best Feature Film (Original) at the 58th Australian Writers’ Guild Awards (The AWGIES).

In 2021 Erdstein and Foulcher were selected for the Talent Gateway Program via Screen Australia and Australians in Film as two of Australia’s top emerging screen creatives.

Moccasin is currently in development with Jungle Entertainment for two TV series, one also with producer Joe Hardesty (The Dink, Dead to Me, American Vandal).

Foulcher and Erdstein are represented by Aran Michael Management.
